2011 ANNUAL ORCHID POTTING WORKSHOP AND POT LUCK

The Baton Rouge Orchid Society proudly presents
its annual orchid potting workshop and pot luck dinner.

Please bring your orchids that are in need of being re-potted as well as your pots and or any other potting material you have or wish to use.

This event is open to the public and will be held on
                                            Saturday April 30th
Please join us at the the potting workshop in Baker, LA at the home of
Clyde Howland:

The address is
3546 Groom Rd. Baker, La. 70714
Phone: 225.775.0140

Starting time is 2 p.m.,
Pot Luck Supper to follow around 5 or 6 p.m.

Don’t worry about the weather. Clyde has a large tent under which to hold the Workshop and supper. Bring your favorite goodies, and come join the fun.

To get there, you can go either on I-110 or Plank Rd. If you go via Plank Rd. from Baton Rouge, turn left onto Groom Rd., and follow it until you see Clyde’s geodesic dome house on the left near Baker High School.

If you prefer I-110, take the Baker/Zachary exit, and go to the right. Follow Highway 19 to Groom Rd., and turn right.  The house will be on the right, and it’s much closer to Highway 19 than it is to Plank Rd.

And in case you don’t know, the Potting Workshop is a great place to get some wonderful new orchid plants for FREE!!!!!

Bring your overgrown plants to divide and share. You’ll be very pleased with what you will learn and the plants you will get to take home with you. They may not all be potted by the time you leave, but you’ll know how to do it when you get home.

Think of the Potting Workshop as an “orchid frenzy”! Bring your own pots.

Don’t miss it, especially you folks who are new to the orchid hobby.
